Finding Neverland Will Open In The West End

It’s finally official, Finding Neverland will open in the West End during summer next year. However, this is not the first time that fans have gotten excited at such an announcement. Gary Barlow recently revealed in a podcast interview that the show is currently expected to open on the West End in “summer 2025”. Will fans finally see the show come to London’s theatre district?

Bonnie and Clyde Streaming Next Month

Jeremy Jordan led musical adaptation of Bonnie and Clyde streaming next month on demand! The musical that was filmed live back in 2022 will be available as of 24 June. Several of his original cast members will be joining him in this filmed production and fans are excited to learn that the original leading lady, Frances Mayli McCann, is also set to appear alongside her co-star.

Romeo And Juliet Featuring Tom Holland

The classic tale Romeo and Juliet featuring Tom Holland has received a ‘barrage of deplorable racial abuse’ after a casting announcement was made. The Hollywood English actor has stood up for his fellow lead in the Shakespearean story, but Juliet has found herself in a house divided amongst the internet. With the show opening next month, the company has quickly issued a statement saying that the racism must stop.

As of Wednesday, 6th of March, Jeremy Hunt announced a permanent rate for Theatre Tax Relief (TTR). The chancellor announced the rate of 45% for touring productions and 40% for non-touring shows. This announcement comes just before the general election, and has been the saving grace for the entire live entertainment industry throughout the United Kingdom.

Back To The Future Opening In Japan

After a successful run on both Broadway and the West End, Back To The Future is opening in Japan in 2025. The musical that is based off of the 1985 film will be showcasing performances at the JR East Shiki Theatre in Takeshiba, Japan as of April, 2025. Tickets for performances will be available to the public later this year in December.

London’s Frozen Announces Closing

After three years on the West End, London’s Frozen announces closing dates. The news came as quite the surprise to fans and critics alike as the show has done well on the West End and the franchise remains a staple point in the Disney company. The show opened on the West End soon after theatres began to reopen after the pandemic, and to see it close after only a few years has everyone reeling to get last minute tickets as they come on sale.

Hadestown is Back

The epic dual love story telling of the iconic Orpheus and Eurydice, and Persephone and Hades  is back on the West End starting 10th of February, 2024 with a stellar cast. Tickets for Hadestown went on sale starting earlier this year in late May, 2023. The last time the Tony winning musical Hadestown was in the city of London was from Nov 2nd, 2018 to January 26th, 2019 at the National Theatre. Five years later, the Greek tragedy returns. Now the audience will experience the underworld at the Lyric Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue. A mere fourteen minutes from their last venue via the Bakerloo line.
