Romeo And Juliet Featuring Tom Holland
The classic tale Romeo and Juliet featuring Tom Holland has received a ‘barrage of deplorable racial abuse’ after a casting announcement was made. The Hollywood English actor has stood up for his fellow lead in the Shakespearean story, but Juliet has found herself in a house divided amongst the internet. With the show opening next month, the company has quickly issued a statement saying that the racism must stop.
Romeo and Juliet: Casting Announced
A major national tour has been announced for the long time classic story of star crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet. The international tour dates for Matthew Bourne’s Romeo and Juliet have yet to be announced, but their UK tour has been confirmed as well as their casting choices, including several young performers who originally made their debut in this production and now return as well-seasoned veterans of the company.

A Rose By Any Other Name: Classifying Shows And Artists
“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet” as Juliet says in Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet. With that in mind, would an actor by any other name act as good and be as relevant? I recently attended a duo piece created by two clowns that was programmed right in the school’s winter break in March so that all those kids with time to kill and in need of a good laugh could attend this show.

I love the Bard. William Shakespeare, the Bard of Avon. The 400 plus-year-old playwright whose words still permeate today has become an integral part of my existence. Being a theater major I suppose this is no surprise. I feel empowered when I perform his works.
