Paying It Forwards: Dance, Dignity & Respect

dance

I grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, about 504 miles away from the theatre district in New York City. My first dance teacher was Ms. Kirstie Spadie. I walked into Kirstie’s studio for the very first time when I was nine years old. I told her I wanted to be on Broadway by the time I was twenty-eight. She smiled and told me, “We’re going to make sure that happens by the time you’re twenty-three.”
