The Zurich Theatre House (Zuercher Schauspielhaus) has been at the center of a heated debate for many months now. The big and quite profound and philosophical question is: For whom do we create and perform theatre? In order to find out, the Zurich Theatre House actually ended up inviting its audience for an interview.

Zorana Mihelčić is a multifaceted culture entrepreneur, and is the art director of Sibenik Dance Festival. Zorana works with professional artists­ and young talent alike. After gaining a degree in English language and literature at Belgrade University, Serbia, Zorana studied and lived in Belgrade, spent a year in London, and then decided to move to Croatia, to her hometown Šibenik. There, she established the Shadow Dance Theatre (Croatian – Plesni Teatar Sjene) and currently resides there today.

Last night, our studio hosted a guest instructor in our Contemporary class. This morning on the way to school, I asked my daughter, who happens to take the class, how it went. She said it was a lot of fun, but that she wasn’t very good at it because “it’s just not my style.” I cringed a little and then tried to explain to her why a dancer should never say anything is not their style.
