Tiziana (@tizipagliarulo on Instagram) has over 20 years of experience in the live entertainment industry. Growing up in a small village of Italy, she dreamed of becoming a dancer but had no idea where to start. Only that NYC was calling to her. At the age of 18 she traveled to New York to study dance and began her career working with some of the worlds greatest directors in the Live Entertainment Industry, Television, and Cinema. In 2019 she began collaborating with the legendary Director Franco Dragone, and ever since, she has continued to work on multiple film and television projects. This is a glance at her past.

Top Three Things I Wish I Realized as a Professional Dancer

I retired from my dance career about 9 years ago. I loved being a professional dancer. It is a special feeling, being able to express everything without words. I learned so much from my dance training and career: discipline, dedication, attention to detail, focus, persistence, and a strong work ethic. I’ve reflected a lot on my career and everything I’ve learned, both positive and negative. And if I could go back and talk to my younger self, this is what I would say:

Discipline: A Ballet Dancer’s Middle Name

We’ve all seen that little boy walking on the tip of his toes or noticed a young girl who loves to pirouette with her arms above her head. Many kids show a strong interest in ballet at a very young age and want to go see the Nutcracker every holiday season and feel a true calling for this art form. No one dancer goes through the same path, but horseback riding is definitely not the most conventional prologue to a life of pirouettes and piqués!
