Bengt Jörgen is a co-founder of Canada’s Ballet Jörgen and serves as its Artistic Director and CEO. In 1992, his artistic vision led to the formation of a partnership with George Brown College in Toronto where he is the Artistic Director of the full-time dance program. Alicia Alonso, Legendary Cuban Prima Ballerina and Choreographer
Alicia Alonso was a Cuban prima ballerina and choreographer whose company became the Ballet Nacional de Cuba in 1955. A ballerina of unusual range and power, she continued to dance into her 80ies despite chronic vision problems. Alonso is best known for her portrayals of Giselle and the ballet version of Carmen.
