Multiple sources confirmed that the superstar Taylor Swift gave massive bonuses to crew on Eras tour. This generous bonus, totalled over $55 million, was given to everyone working on the tour. Dancers, caterers, truck drivers, and everyone in between was given the bonuses sometime while on the road with Taylor Swift during the Eras Tour.
It was confirmed earlier this year that the 33 year old Taylor Swift gave each of her truck drivers $100,000 on her tour ahead of her concert in Santa Clara. Apparently, the generosity did not stop there. The confirmed news of this generosity came after her announcement in June that she would be doing a world tour including Europe, Asia, and Australia with her 44 song set list next year. It is likely that the famous pop star will maintain showing her good nature and continue with massive bonuses for her crew and back up performers.
Crew members on the tour stated they thought that they were going into a run of the mill production meeting when Taylor Swift’s father, Scott Swift, surprised them. After giving a personalised speech, he began handing each of the crew members an envelope with a ‘life changing’ amount of money.
Taylor Swift began her first part of her international tour back in late August. Her first performance being in Mexico City and working her way down through the continent of South America. Now on break for the winter holidays, the tour will pick back up for shows starting in February on the island of Japan. From Japan the tour will move on to Australia and Singapore. Flying to the other side of the world, the tour will continue on the European continent in Paris just in time for summer.
“These men and women, they live on the road. They sleep during the day and work all night… It’s a gruelling task. They leave their families, young children for weeks…” Michael Scherkenbach, the founder and CEO of Shomotion trucking company (the company Taylor Swift uses), stated when giving an interview about what the tour was like for his workers.
The entire Eras tour so far has made a revenue of hundreds of millions and is not expected to stop anytime soon with Taylor Swift expected to make roughly $4.1 billion. During the Eras tour, Taylor Swift had several surprise appearances by close friends of hers as well as those she once dated and collaborated with. Some of which included Maren Morris, Taylor Lautner, and even Reese Witherspoon. All of her fans are expecting these surprise appearances to continue throughout her international tour next year. There are several guesses as to who will be next and who fans would most like to see join Taylor Swift on her larger than life stage.
