1. What lighting console do you prefer working with?

Grand MA or Chamsys.

2. What do you always have with you at your console?

USB Drive.

3. Mac or PC?

Both. Need each one for different software that I use. Backpack has Laptop, MacBook, & an iPad.

4. What may be surprising that you don’t use?

Luck.

5. Coffee or Tea?

Tea.

6. What is your favorite genre of entertainment to work in?

Sports.

7. What is your favorite color combination and why?

Red and Blue. Just love the contrast. The mix well together.

8. Who is an lighting designer that you admire and respect?

Michael Keller. Guy is a legend. And has the best attitude in lighting. Wish more of us were like him. He is his Dudeness!!!

9. What are the top 5 skill sets that a Lighting Designer/Technician should have?

Communication, Programming, Drafting, Timing, Creativity.

10. What is the best type of client/boss/director?

Creative types that collaborate and help me expand my creativity.

11. Do you prefer a window or aisle seat?

Either or. Long Flights Window so I don’t get asked to move. On shorter flights Aisle so I can jump up and get off the plane fast.

11. What advice do you have for those who want to become a lighting designer or a lighting technician?

Find a mentor. Get in with them the best way you can, learn as much as possible, and be ready to work Holidays, Weekends, & Birthdays!!!
