Other Stage Shows

Only The Brave

Only The Brave, recounts the raw courage and determination of those who fought and felt the physical and emotional pain of the Second World War. It tells the story of a group of brave soldiers embarking on a dangerous mission that holds the key to the success of the D-Day Landings. This rousing and original musical interweaves the soldier’s stories with that of their families and loved ones.

Based on true events, Only The Brave evokes the camaraderie and bravery of the second world war generation. This archive version was filmed in 2016 by AdVision TV Ltd at Wales Millennium Centre, co-produced with Soho Theatre, Daniel Sparrow Productions and Birdsong Productions with a cast of Welsh musical stars led by Caroline Sheen and David Thaxton. Written by Rachel Wagstaff, with music by Cardiff born composer Matthew Brind and directed by Steve Marmion.

This American Life

Nearly 50 actors, singers, dancers, musicians, and comedians joined Ira Glass onstage at the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Opera House on June 7, 2014, to try some things they’d never tried before. The result? Journalism turned into opera, into plays, into a Broadway musical (by Lin-Manuel Miranda, starring Lindsay Mendez and Anthony Ramos). Comedy from Mike Birbiglia and Saturday Night Live’s Sasheer Zamata. Songs from Stephin Merritt of the Magnetic Fields. Dance from Monica Bill Barnes & Company. Video directed by Seth Lind and produced by Ben Cohen and Ben Katz.
