Lately, I have had ever more exposure to AI generators. Be it because someone designed birthday cards with a specific theme. Or someone wrote an entire text with the help of AI. Or I simply overheard discussions over lunch breaks. AI generators are growing in influence. So here is my shy attempt to give a limited introduction into what is currently available for language, art, and design content creation. My apologies if I have omitted equally important tools.
I know AI is a controversial subject for many. Is this technology going to infringe on human creativity? Is it going to take over? Are we going to lose some individuality as well as creative quality?
For now, I choose to keep an open mind. As the saying goes, the only thing that is constant in life is change.
And I have watched my parents all my life as they categorically rejected every new technology without further investigating or trying to learn more about it first.
It has left them stranded, unable now to even grasp the simplest tasks like ordering something online or being able to navigate customer services with their phones. Even paying a bill via QR code has become a scary venture which brings them to their limits.
In order to not become completely lost in the advanced technology of the coming years, I have thus vowed to face everything with open-mindedness, healthy enthusiasm, and curiosity. And to not come to conclusions before actually having studied and understood more about the subject.
As for AI, I must admit I am fascinated. I work with a lot of Data Scientists. And even though most of what they say is beyond my grasp for now, I cannot help but be amazed by the latest developments and possibilities.
There is creativity in all that. Boundless creativity.
