Melanie Selwood is a stage manager, project manager and consultant with more than 15 years’ experience in Australia and the United Kingdom.
After graduating from NIDA in 2001, Melanie has been a freelance project manager, stage manager, event manager, production manager for many of Australia’s leading arts organisations and festivals. For four years, Melanie worked full time with State Theatre Company SA in the newly created position of Senior Stage Manager where she has successfully implemented new processes and strategies to Stage Management within the organisation.
In 2015, Melanie was awarded a Master of Project Management at UniSA with a research thesis titled, Project Management in the Arts: Integration, Application and Benefits. The results are due to be published in 2018.
As a Project Manager, Melanie specialises in projects in the Arts industry and Not-For-Profit sector and has volunteered her skills with Oxfam, The Wilderness Society and the World Wildlife Fund. Melanie also manages Adelaide band, Golonka.
