The Civic is a multidisciplinary Arts Theatre in South Dublin County. We see ourselves as being so much more than a theatre, more a place of possibility where the spark of imagination can set off a journey of curiosity, wonder and discovery. We host over 400 events annually, have a footfall of over 25,000 and sell 55,000 tickets annually. Our vision for The Civic is that it is a place of possibility, opportunity and transformation, where all people are inspired and nurtured to play a creative and civic role in our world. Our mission is to enrich the lives of all of the people in South Dublin County and beyond, by crafting and staging a range of shared cultural experiences that invite and provoke a meaningful journey of transformation. Our blog has been running for 7 years, since 2012 as a way to find out more about artists and productions and let our public know about other ‘behind the scenes’ with The Civic is involved in.
