In Process
I am not finished yet
I am a work in progress
In process
Incomplete and at the same time whole
I know my story even though it’s untold
It’s familiar with a well-known structure
But right now, it isn’t the full tale
The story is still growing
I’m still growing
And not knowing which way this chronicle will go
Looking for the pathway to show
Me the trail I will take
I hope I don’t make a mistake
Though mistakes are inevitable
I am only human
I am just like you and
I am seeking my own personal truth
The truth this narrative will spell out
I occasionally feel the need to get the hell out
And bailout of this whale spout
That I can tell is about to blow
But where the hell am I about to go
Internal thoughts begin to flow
Time speeds by as life moves slow
So I slow time down
And take the time to analyze my time
Reread the passages of time
Surrounding my time here on earth
What is my time really worth
Have I spent it being my best
I can’t fully say
I’m not done yet
I am under construction
Constant construction
Like our highways
And the pathway I am on is a freeway
Speeding towards the end of my existence
So I try to drive under the speed limit
I’m in no rush to get there
Luckily, I can’t see the final destination
So I travel with no hesitation
I keep building my presentation
Until I can present it to the population
In the present
The right now
So that all may see that, just like them, I am willing to be
In a continuing state of continuing
With hopes that my creations continue beyond me
When I’m gone the words I express will impress upon the
Endless audience and unless
All of time ceases to exist
All will acknowledge this
We are all
In process
And I’m unfin…
