Following the long-awaited reopening of the West End production of Hamilton at London’s Victoria Palace Theatre, the show has released a new casting call for performers looking ahead to continue with a successful run well into 2023.
The casting call
The advert calls for inclusive and diverse performers to attend the London auditions for the production, and although the skill sets overlap somewhat, the audition call is split between singers and dancers to come and join the hugely popular musical. The casting call outlines:
“We are seeking artists of all ethnicities and heritages, genders and gender expressions, and neurodiversities for the below:
SINGERS WHO RAP
Highly skilled, versatile singers/actors, who can rap & move well.
DANCERS
Versatile in all forms of dance, including hip hop and contemporary to a very high standard, who can sing well.

AUDITIONS
Auditions will be held in London commencing in October 2021 finishing in January 2022. Artists must be available for rehearsals from 4th April 2022 until June 2023.
While artists of all ethnicities will be considered for the production, it is an intrinsic requirement of the show for the company to be very racially diverse, and therefore we encourage submissions of all ethnicities and heritages.
At these auditions, we will not be auditioning for the role of King George.
Artists must have a valid UK passport or already have a full working visa to work in the UK for the duration of the contract before applying.
Applicants who do not fit all the requirements stated need not apply. Schedule 9, part 1 of equality act 2010 (occupational requirements) applies.”
The West End Hamilton production
Joining The West End production of Hamilton is an exciting prospect following an extremely turbulent six months in the UK awaiting the chance to reopen following the most recent lockdown. At the time of writing, the current West End Hamilton cast includes Karl Queensborough as Alexander Hamilton, Ava Brennan as Angelica Schuyler, and performers Khalid Daley, Trevor Dion Nicholas, Harry Hepple, Emilie Louise Israel, Waylon Jacobs, Nuno Queimade, Simon-Anthony Rhoden and Sharon Rose to name but a few. The full current cast can be viewed on the Official Hamilton London Website.
Providing the UK with a new dose of hope for the future of shows on The West End, this is certainly an exciting prospect for performers looking to join one of the biggest and most popular shows in recent years. Following the recent reopening on Broadway, we hope this is the return of Hamilton for good on both sides of the Atlantic, and are sending good “break a leg” vibes to all the performers auditioning in London.

About Hamilton
Hamilton is the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and helped shape the very foundations of the America we know today. The score blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway – the story of America then, as told by America now.
Hamilton has book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire and is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton.
Winner of 11 Tony Awards including Best Musical, the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
