Sensory Friendly Performances & Production: 5 Things to Know

Sensory friendly or “relaxed” performances have increasingly become a part of any company’s accessibility program, but creating an inclusive experience through a relaxed performance can be intimidating. Recently, after a presentation I gave on this topic with Heidi Cooley-Cook of the Kentucky Autism Training Center, I was approached by a marketing manager of a local arts organization who asked me how I managed to get my production staff “on board” with relaxed performances.
