I can’t get away. It started when I decided to move to Las Vegas. It was before my actual move, during my goodbye party at Trevor’s Rustic Inn, a locals bar in San Bernardino where I had hosted karaoke for the past 6 years, when the presence of “The King” began to make itself known.
I love the Bard. William Shakespeare, the Bard of Avon. The 400 plus-year-old playwright whose words still permeate today has become an integral part of my existence. Being a theater major I suppose this is no surprise. I feel empowered when I perform his works.
I wasn’t always known as Big Sexy. It feels like I have been that forever but actually Big Sexy was created in the early 2000s. I’ve always has a love for improvisational comedy. I followed the teachings of Second City and Groundlings. The Improv comedy club in Ontario, CA was having a competition called King of the Water Cooler and you just had to be funny. I am a funny guy… so I entered.
